Part festival and part bike “swap meet”, the Northern California Bicycle Expo features a wide range of vendors from hobbyist to major industry players and everyone in between. This is the place for great finds and deals on new and used bikes, gear, parts, clothing, and bike inspired arts, crafts and more. Plus, local bands will rock the stage, and there’ll be a plethora of specialty bike exhibits, kid’s activities, raffles, great food, drinks, and more!

Trailhead Cyclery Spooky Swap in San Jose – Sunday October 24th, 2010

I was alerted to this swap by Edgenail in the comments. Trailhead Cyclery hasn’t updated their website to include specific details on their fall swap other than it starts at 8 am on October 24th.

At their spring swap admission was free to buyers, sellers pay 20 bucks per space.

Sunday, August 22nd, Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition presents the first-ever Northern California Bike Expo. The event is a bike swap with great individual and business vendors selling new and used bikes, parts, gear, clothing, and bike-related arts and crafts.  AND, it’s a festival, featuring live music, performances, and fabulous food vendors.  It’s in beautiful Juilliard Park in Downtown Santa Rosa from 11a.m – 4 p.m. The Expo is the finish for the Nimble Break the Cycle Ride, a benefit for the Sonoma County YWCA and Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition.

Join us as a vendor!  Whether you’re a hobbyist bike builder, a vintage parts collector, a custom bike togs tailor, a bike shop, a maker of the newest slick gear – if you’re bikey, you belong at the Northern California Bike Expo. Non-vendor exhibitors are welcome, too – it’s a great opportunity to reach your target audience, or a new audience.

Dolores Park Bike Swap – August 21st 2010

The Dolores Park swap loosely organized. 10am is the official start time, but some sellers may be setting up early. to sell, just show up with a blanket and some stuff to flip. to buy, bring cash monie$.You might want some PBR and sunglasses, since you are at DP.

The last one was set up on the main concrete walkway that leads to the bathrooms from 19th street and Dolores. but previous swaps were just on the grass. I’d say its likely to be on the concrete again?

Great Western Bicycle Rally Bike Swap – Now Open to Public – May 28, 2010

The GWBR has opened their Friday May 28th evening swap to the Public.

This is an indoor swap located in Commercial Building 2 that has approximate 20,000 feet of very well lighted exhibit space. Tables are provided. There is a limit of two tables per seller.

Rally Participants: FREE
Non Rally Participants (buyers): $6 cash
Vendors (Sellers): $25.00 cash per table
Pay at the door.

Space reservations are needed for NON Rally sellers.

The Rally has a built-in audience of buyers and they all ride bicycles. If you enjoy riding, the GWBR is an affordable bicycling mini-vacation. In addition, camping is available at the Fairgrounds. To camp, you must be a participant of the Rally.

You no longer have to be a Rally attendee to participate, it’s open to the public. So come to the GWBR Bike Swap in Paso Robles and stay for the Rally.
